From the information I've gathered, it seems that no matter what country you're in the resumes will be the same. Game companies from different countries create games for every country so it really depends on the type of games that you personally are looking to create. So a shooting game being created in the U.K. is going to be looking for the same characteristics that an American country working on a shooting game would be looking for.

9/15 Resumes and CV's

In Spain, both resumes and CV's are used. In resumes, you include a picture of yourself, and you write a cover letter. You shouldn't go over 1 page long, and you should only state your hightest educational qualification. Your whole history isn't needed.

In China, a very detailed educational history is presented. For the field of zoology, you include research interests, publications, and foreign language skills. Everything else is like in a normal english resume.

CV differences in Asia and UK

I did research on teaching opportunities in the United Kingdom and Asia. These are the differences between the American template for a CV and 2 other countries.

In the United kingdom they adopted the American CV/resume template, but they ask for your nationality as well and placed an emphasis on that.

In Asia, they ask for a multitude of more fields. They ask for your religion, marital status, expected salary, and your availability (1 month notice).

CV's in Greece

In Greece a CV will look similar to a CV in America. Depending on the job you are applying for will determine if it should be in English or Greek. The CV will be in chronological order from your first job to your most recent. You don't include references, because you wait until you have an interview to give them that. You also should indicate if you have served in the military at all. Just like in America, the CV's are detailed.

In the Netherlands, you must have your CV in Dutch, unless you are otherwise instructed. It needs to be in chronological order and must be factual. A daytime phone number with an international access code must be included. This is obviously different than Greece's CV requirements. You should also include power words and action verbs. It is very common in the Netherlands to mostly apply for jobs online.

In Korea they ask more specific questions like, Did you participate in military services? For America they just have you list organizations and military would fall into that. Germany requires a picture of yourself on the top. In America they only require names and references no photo identification.

Both Cv and resumes are use in my field of study. America generally use resumes and mojority of other countries use cv's.

In Germany they mainly use Cv's. with details about theyre job description and levelof education.

Italy and a resume that has a basic set up. it is similar to the types of resumes found here in the U.S.

French nursing resumes or CV's contained very similar elements and topics when compared to resumes in the United States. Work experience and training are stressed throughout the resume as they really try to look at previous experience. German resumes were also very similar to United States resumes, but they also included hobbies and listed places where the applicant has studied abroad. After looking at other countries and how they set up their resumes, I saw that they are very similar to ones that we are used to seeing in the United States.
