Quickwrite 11/1

In chapter 5, there was an exercise that I could do using highlighters. In one color, it said to highlight all the sentences that were paraphrased or quoted, which were all another person's ideas. Then using another color it said to highlight all of my own ideas. I didn't actually do all this, but it still helped me realize that I need to have about 80% of the paper paraphrased. Only a little bit should be my own ideas.

Also, this reminded me to put a citation after every single sentence I paraphrased. It may look stupid and repetitive, but it's how an APA paper is supposed to be done.

and YAYYYYY for no more Ballenger.

  1. Paraphrasing was such a bitch for me during the paper. Going from argumentative to research paper was quite a change. Using everyone else's ideas is not something im very acquainted with.
