Quickwrite 11/3/11

I think the author made several good points. I think it's true how he says that being good at computers these days can mean that you're more social, rather than educated. New technology isn't really allowing many people to keep up and become more educated because of how fast it's changing. People don't understand the new technology, and like the author said, a person can be one click away from completely messing up their computer and wiping important information. I can definitely relate to his lack of knowledge when it comes to computers and hard drives and all that techy stuff. I don't even attempt to explore how my computer works. Connecting to the Internet is about as complicated as it gets for me.

This article relates to our fourth project because it's all about using technology. I think we're supposed to make a video... which I haven't really done before.

  1. I think that you have a really good point when you said that new technologies aren't allowing people to keep up and become more educated because of how fast their changing. In my journalism class this week i learned that every 18 months the most current computer chip doubles its capacity. That means that if a person was trying to keep up with the fads of new technology they would have to brush up on all the new things that are created yearly. Like you, i also have a lack of knowledge on computers and i hope that i will be able to do the fourth project with ease.
