This article is connected in our remix assignment because we will have to learn to use new forms of technology in order to complete our assignment instead of writing an old fashioned paper, which we are all probably more comfortable with. We are going to have to step outside our comfort zones and engage ourselves in the more tech savvy world.

Quickwrite 11/3
The author of this article is clearly not a big fan of technological advances, and I agree somewhat with a few of his points. What I related most with was the part where he said that there is no time to learn about new technology because as soon as you understand one thing, there is already a newer and more complex form of the same thing that you have to re-learn. This happens to me with cell phones all the time.

I agree with you Sara the author had a good point about there being no time to learn about new technology. With it relating to our remix assignment, in high school I did a video montage but I had a PC at the time and learned how to use windows moviemaker, now with a mac I had to learn the skill basically all over again.
ReplyDeleteI agree. I feel that technology changes so rapidly that it is often too hard to keep up. I feel it is important to try and learn different types of technology, because sooner or later it will be the norm in todays society.
