1) what are denunciations? In the text “The real reasons for rock fans' denunciations of disco were almost surely racial and social.
2) Why did people think that disco associated with being gay, black or Latin?
in the text it states: “Disco came, at least at first, from outsider labels like T. K. and outsider cultures like gay, black and Latin.”
3) Is this article insinuating that rock was meant for real men? Why would they think techno was “gay”? “Another ground for prejudice against disco was simply misogyny: rock-and-roll in its tougher, more aggressive forms has always been a male preserve.” Was music sexist in the 70’s?
