WR 11/1/11
In chapter five, I learned alot about the revision process and how to write to your audience. One thing I found was most helpful was the part where it wanted us to use strong verbs. I always needed help with my revision process. It talked about making sure you where talking to the correct audience. This helped me because in my draft I forgot that I was wringing to people in my field so I didn't need to use some material that they already should know. For example I put the definition of a mnemonic. This will further my paper in becoming better fit to my field and not just a paper about mnemonics. I am very happy to be done with this book, as fun, interesting and helpful as it was Im happy to be one step further to finishing our final paper.

I agree that writing to your audience is really important. Also using strong verbs is helpful to make your research paper more interesting.
ReplyDeleteI also had the problem of forgetting that I am writing to the people in my field. I ended up having to revise a lot of my paper because of it :(
