I thought this reading was very interesting, especially opening my eyes to some stereotypes that women are associated with. Overall, I'm surprised that she feels so discriminated against. Of course I'm in a 2010 state of mind and this piece was written well before that. I still feel in ways women are still stereotyped as weak, physically. One example that sticks out to me is her example when her mother would move around the furniture without the help of a man. To me this example isn't really that feminist considering I would move around furniture myself only needing help when one person isn't enough. Today women can get the same jobs as men, no matter how physically demanding it is.
