ballenger quickpost 11/1

I have always struggled with gramatical issues in a paper, so the section on "Then Common Things to Avoid in Research Papers" was especially helpful. It will help me to look for specific elements in my paper that may be problem areas that could really detract from my paper. A major point was not being vague in your sentences and making sure your audience knows who and what you are talking about. Also, I need to look for words that come in different forms such as their/there/they're an its/it's.

SO HAPPY TO BE DONE!!!

  1. This was very helpful for me as well. I don't normally mess those up but it really brought my attention to those issues.

  2. Grammar and spelling have never really been an issue for me, but I think texting on my phone has made me a bit lazy and I caught myself using the wrong "their" before. Also, I agree about the part saying how you shouldn't ever be too vague when making points. Your audience needs to know exactly what you're trying to say. This also adds to your page length :)
