The article "Bad Associations" talks about the authors past experience with technology. He had really bad experiences with it and criticizes how we get further and further away from a person to person society to a person to computer one. I personally think though that the article is written in a very subjective and not objective way, as he only describes his bad experiences with technology and how it affects society negatively. He does not point out, how many awesome things technology makes possible for humans in medicine and research for example.
I myself had some bad experiences with computers too, as it randomly turns off, but it saved my butt so many times from bad situations, that I rather remember theses than the negative ones.
It relates to our third paper, because for it we have to make a video out of one of our previous papers, which were obviously written down on paper.

I agree that the author wrote this very subjectively. He never talked about how technology had benefitted him, which I'm sure it has. Technology can be complicated and frustrating, but he can't forget the good things that it does for us.
ReplyDeleteI definitely agree that the author only pointed out the bad things about technology, and over the years some many interesting things have come out. Even for someone like me, who isn’t good with technology, I still think that we are headed in a sweet direction with all of the advances. I also would say this article relates to our third assignment because we have to use all the new technology in today’s age to create something. It should be pretty interesting.
