It was really intriguing how her story as part Native American she was so different than so many other people, specifically the way that the men treated the women. It is amazing that while one family can follows the more "traditional" approach while another can be completely untraditional. I find it amazing that the way that her family brought her up to give her the beliefs that she has now. It is very interesting how some Native Americans have integrated while some have not integrated to the popular modern belief of the woman's role.
