Quickwrite #2

My general reaction to "Where I Come From is Like This" was that I thought it was interesting that growing up this Indian woman was taught things about Americans that aren't necessarily true and that some Americans may have heard things about Indians that are also not true. I have more respect for Indian women living in a modern society because this reading taught me about the struggles an Indian women goes through trying to keep the traditions of her Indian roots. This woman seemed to have trouble finding herself because she had so many different Indian views and American views on things.
