"What was your general reaction to this piece?"
I liked this reading a lot more than the first one we talked about. I think I like reading papers from a woman's perspective. This particular author was very descriptive with her writing, and I loved being able to picture everything she was saying. Her colorful language made it more interesting. It was nice to see how powerful she believes her family and people are, despite the negative stereotypes about American Indians. While proving a point about the power of being an American Indian woman, she also makes them seem extremely likeable. I kind of envy their tradition of passing down stories and how closely knit the families are. It's almost like they have a special something that other societies don't. Overall, I loved how proud the author was of who she was.
