Quickwrite 10/20

This chapter first starts out with a great opening line, "It is not 2am." This is just a relief to hear, and it's good not to be rushing. It also confronts the problem of when you should say I. It taught me how to use the word I, without being prejudice towards my topic. Since i have never used an interview before in my essay, it was nice to see an example.

  1. I completely agree with you, never a good idea to be doing a paper the night before haha. I also found this very helpful, I now know how to present "I" in any paper.

  2. I liked that too! It was nice to see all of those examples. When I look at other peoples introductions it helps me create mine.

  3. That was a good way to start the paper! It got my attention a lot better than some boring intro. Since intros are normally the most difficult part for me to write in papers, this helped me.

  4. To be honest, i work very well under pressure and most of the time i try to hold off as long as i can. Call it what you want but it works for some people.

  5. I agree with Beers. When you have a deadline to meet, that extra adrenaline rush of coming down to the last minute often produces some great work. I often find myself just writing stuff down when I do papers too far in advance.
