Can narrative be arguement? Can stories be arguements?

In my opinion, yes, narratives and stories can be arguements. Earlier in the class we also discussed how everything can be an arguement, but aside from that, when narrating or telling a story, one could be arguing thier own opinion on a fact. Or even arguing how they view the story should be told or how it happened. If you really wish to argue a point, I wouldn't reccomend a vague tactic like that when you could just blatantly argue your point, but narratives and stories can in my opinion argue, even if it is discreetly.

  1. i agree to the fact that narratives can be arguments in which someone expresses their opinion on a story or why something simply "is".

  2. Yeah, as we read in one of our readings for class "everything is an argument" as Beers said that expressing their opinion is trying to argue something, this is also helpful for our final paper. Im doing mine on how personal experience in another culture makes you more aware of our surrounding world.

  3. I agree with everyone, stories can be arguments. I think that the story might be bias. They also could potentially be very good insight.

  4. I agree everyone has those friends that can never tell an entirely true story and just have to spin it a little bit in their favor to make it sound like they are either the victim or the bigger person in the story.
